Banyan Tree reveals name change
Luxury hospitality firm Banyan Tree Group has a new moniker.
It has shortened its name to just Banyan Group.
It revealed the name change as the group celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The change is restricted to the corporate business with Banyan Tree branded hotels keeping their name.
As well as Banyan Tree, other brands include Angsana, Cassia and Dhawa.
“As we celebrate the Group’s 30th anniversary, this milestone sets the stage for an exciting future,” said Eddy See, CEO of Banyan Group.
“This brand evolution reflects our portfolio transformation from a single luxury brand to the diverse offering we have today,” added See.
Additionally, the group is on track to open 19 new hotels this year.
It opens its first properties in Japan and Cambodia, as well as new hotels in Vietnam, China and Thailand.
As part of the 30th anniversary year, Banyan group will also roll out an experiential loyalty programme called withBanyan.
