Barrhead Travel on recruitment drive
Barrhead Travel has embarked on a recruitment drive and is hoping to attract new staff with the prospect of going on familiarisation trips.
It is telling prospective employees that over 500 members of its staff have taken a ‘trip of a lifetime’ as part of their day-to-day work routine.
"More of these opportunities are on offer for the right candidates," it said.
The agency is recruiting for a number of positions at existing branches across the UK plus a number of new posts in three new stores due to open late summer.
These are at Fort Kinnaird, Port Glasgow and Southampton.
Additionally, it is looking to expand its specialist teams based in Glasgow and is looking for long-haul and cruise experts.
"We have a wide range of opportunities available, including sales consultant, team leader and management roles," said a spokeswoman.
Barrhead said in recent years, employees have been sent to resorts in Mauritius and Jamaica, to Tokyo and Duban, and on Alaskan cruises.

"Globetrotting is required of many Barrhead Travel staff members as part of ongoing training to enhance their destination and product knowledge and allow them to pass on insights and expertise," said the spokeswoman.
