Barry Robinson appointed as APAC Wyndham MD
Wyndham Hotels has appointed hospitality veteran Barry Robinson as president and managing director, South East Asia and Pacific Rim, effective January 1, 2015.
Robinson has overseen the group’s expansion in Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Guam since 2009 as managing director, South Pacific.
He also serves as CEO of sister organisation Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific since 2003 which he will continue to do alongside the new role.
He also has Asia-Pacific experience with global hospitality firms such as Swisshotel Worldwide and Choice Hotels International.
"We are pleased to have Barry in this new role with Wyndham Hotel Group and look forward to the opportunities this position will help create for our continued expansion in South East Asia and the Pacific Rim," said Bob Loewen, Wyndham Hotel Group’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
"We see strong potential for growth throughout this market and Barry’s leadership, along with his extensive hospitality experience, strong regional knowledge and established network of relationships, will undoubtedly accelerate development in the region."
