B&B industry pioneer Wendy Robinson re-emerges with……….
A pioneer of the B&B industry in Australia, Wendy Robinson has opened a new B&B property, Quercus Gorge, a contemporary country house set on 60 hectares of rolling hill country at Longwood, just off the Hume Freeway 90 minutes north of Melbourne.
Accommodation is in two large suites in the main house ($225 per couple per night), or in a self-contained stone cottage (from $195) which can sleep four. Prices include breakfast, either cooked by Wendy and partner Jonathan Wright or supplied for self cooking. All rooms have King-size beds and one has a spa bath. Agent commission applies to bookings.
Guests can wander over the property which runs cattle and horses and take a dip in a lap pool which runs along the front of the house’s deck overlooking a large permanent dam, surrounded by trees and magnificent granite boulders.
The hallmark smoked salmon and scrambled eggs breakfast of her former Robinsons properties in Melbourne is available too at Quercus Gorge.
