BBC to go live with Boeing?
The BBC is reportedly in talks with Boeing over providing airline passengers with a live television service.
According to The Independent newspaper, the US aircraft maker is to start offering its “Connexion” live television next spring, with passengers able to choose from four or five channels by using their own laptops with an in-flight internet service.
The newspaper reports that one of the BBC services that could be screened is the News 24 channel, and that Boeing has also approached CNN, the US-based news network.
The Connexion service will reportedly cost USD29.95 for unlimited access on flights that are at least six hours long.
