Beatriz kills family of three as hurricane season hits Mexico
Mexico’s tourism season has been hit by the arrival of Hurricane Beatriz which has killed three people in Acapulco.
Chaotic winds and torrential downpours drenched the resorts across Mexico as three members of the same family drowned after falling into a septic tank while attempting to rescue two women, according to the Daily Telegraph.
However, after devastating many houses and businesses, the hurricane is now forecast to retreat back to the Pacific and die out.
This is the second Pacific hurricane of 2011 although the first, Hurricane Adrian, never hit land.
A public safety official said: “Undoubtedly, Acapulco was the hardest hit.â€
