Bermuda to get new luxury property
The first new luxury hotel in Bermuda in over 30 years is due to begin opening in phases later his year.
Government officials have approved plans for the 104-room Tucker’s Point & Cottages as part of the Tucker Point Club.
The $350 million project is on 200-acre parcel.
Said Ed Trippe, president of Tucker’s Point Club, “Our new hotel is integral to Tucker’s Point Club and will be significant in attracting tourists and small, prestigious meetings to the island.”
The hotel will cost $800,000 a room. Its developers say it will evoke a true sense of place with a Bermudian cottage colony style architecture
The hotel will include a 5,000-square-foot conference center.
“Properties such as Tucker’s Point allow us to compete successfully with the finest tourist destinations in the world,” said Ewart Brown, Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism.
