Bermuda Tourism Authority appoints new sales and business development director
The Bermuda Tourism Authority has appointed Bermudian native Simon Boden as new director of sales and business development.
Based in New York City, Boden will oversee new group business development functions, and head up trade show and sales mission activities.
Working closely with industry partners, he will cement existing and develop new relationships with meeting, incentive and event planners.
"Simon’s extensive knowledge of Bermuda’s hospitality industry, as well as his management experience abroad, will be particularly valuable as he joins the Bermuda Tourism Authority team," said Victoria Isley, the BTA’s chief sales and marketing officer.
Boden has two decades of hospitality and destination management experience
He held a variety of roles at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts since 1999 in Bermuda and the US, including Hawaii and Pennsylvania.
Most recently, he was director of sales and marketing at the Fairmont Pittsburgh.
