Bidders line up for Stansted sale
Various bidders are lining up for the £1 billion auction of Stansted airport.
The Sunday Telegraph reports that Malaysia Airports Holdings has shown interest – a group which owns 39 airports including its flagship Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Stansted airport owners, previously known at BAA, are keen to attract new bidders in an effort to bump up the price.
Other bidders interested are Manchester Airports Group and investors TPG, Macquarie and HRL Morrison.
A sale is expected in the first half of 2013.
