Big drugs shipment discovered on American airlines jet

A large drugs haul was discovered by maintenance workers in the nose of an American Airline jet.

The Boeing 757 jet was at Tulsa for scheduled maintenance when a worker spotted several bricks of cocaine stuffed inside the nose.

"That’s a lot of cocaine, so we suspect cartel involvement. That’s why we’re turning it over to the DEA," Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Roebuck.

The jet had previously arrived at Miami from Bogota, Colombia and was originally scheduled for maintenance at MIA.

Police said the drug’s street value could be worth up to $400,000.
