Blue Chip Vacations appoints marketing director
Self-catering holiday Blue Chip Vacations has appointed Neil Simpkin to the newly created role of marketing director.
He joins from Flybe where he was head of digital and loyalty marketing, responsible for online customer retention and acquisition across Europe.
At Blue Chip, he will oversee the continued expansion of the brand across 2009.
Blue Chip Vacations recently reported a 65% increase in bookings for 2009, compared to the same period a year ago.
It represents around 500 handpicked four- and five-star properties across Devon and Cornwall.
Managing director Liam Gavin said: “Neil’s expertise in building high profile brands and growing revenues will be invaluable to us as we look to continue expansion and deliver a record year for the business in 2009, with more holidaymakers than ever looking to stay in the UK.â€
