Blue1 switches Helsinki route to Heathrow
SAS partner Blue1 is switching a Helsinki service from Stansted to Heathrow
One-way fares start at £83 including taxes for the daily flights which start from Heathrow on March 30.
All flights will be operated by two-class MD90 aircraft and complement SAS routes from Heathrow and London City Airport via Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
It will mean that SAS and Blue1 will have a total of nine daily direct and indirect services to the Finnish capital.
SAS UK and Ireland general manager Lars-Ove Filipson said: “We are delighted that Blue1 has been able to secure this route from London Heathrow Airport to Helsinki. In recent years it has become increasingly difficult for airlines to gain Heathrow slots.”
