Bmi adds seats as BA strike nears
Bmi has added more than 3,000 seats to its domestic network from Heathrow to handle passengers hit by the imminent British Airways strike
The airline has deployed larger aircraft on existing routes to create extra seats on flights between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester and Heathrow.
Bmi will also increase the frequency of flights as soon as take-off and landing slots are released by BA through flight cancellations.
It is one of a number of airlines putting contingencies in place to help carry passengers caught up in the likely industrial action and disruption to BA services.
