bmibaby launches London-Belfast
Bmibaby has launched its first route from London Stansted Airport to George Best Belfast City Airport.
The service will start on 28 March 2011 and bmibaby will be the only airline to operate this route.
Flights to Belfast City will operate three times a day from Monday to Friday, with one service on Sunday.
Fares start from £23.99 one way including taxes.
Julian Carr, managing director, bmibaby, said: “As the bmi group is an established operator from London, it is great to open our first low cost service from Stansted Airport.”
Ryanair scrapped its Stansted to Belfast service in October.
It also withdrew flights from Belfast to Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow and Liverpool after Belfast City Airport confirmed that a public inquiry into a proposed runway extension would be delayed.
