Boeing reveals ‘jetlag-buster’
The jet manufacturer Boeing is claiming that a new 300-seater jet, which is being toted as a rival to Airbus, will help to beat jetlag. According to the Daily Mail, the 7E7, it is claimed, will provide a more restful journey and allow passengers to arrive “refreshed rather than exhausted”. The newspaper reports that among the many innovations will be a reduced cabin pressure, which will help passengers with breathing difficulties, a greater humidity inside the cabin, and larger windows, which will ensure that the plane’s interior has as much natural light as possible. Boeing is reportedly keen for all passengers to be able to see the horizon at all times. Lastly, soft blue lighting on the cabin ceiling will simulate the sky and, according to Boeing, this will make the plane seem roomier and reduce the likelihood of claustrophobia. As reported, Airbus last week revealed details of its huge A380 model, which will carry as many as 900 passengers when it comes into service in a couple of years’ time.
