Bonett to leave Malta Tourism
The Malta Tourism Authority’s long-time serving information and support services executive Victor Bonett is leaving.
Bonett, who is returning home to Malta, joined the then National Tourism Organisation of Malta in 1997 after a short stint at the Malta High Commission.
During his 19-year career with the Malta Tourism Authority, he was responsible for organising several consumer shows across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Together with his colleagues, he has also helped strengthen relationships with UK tour operators, said the tourism authority.
He was also very active in promoting the Maltese Islands during his tenure when Visit Malta was club sponsor of Sheffield United between 2008 and 2011 and beyond, it said.
