Bonza begins Melbourne flights
New Australian low-cost airline Bonza has taken flight from new Melbourne Airport.
It marked the start of Melbourne flight departures with service to the Sunshine Coast.
Bonza will base two Boeing 737-Max aircraft at Melbourne, covering nine routes.
By the end of May, it expects to be operating 24 flights per week.
“As Bonza’s second home base and the only capital city on its network, we’re thrilled to see Bonza here,” Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus said.
“It’s been a long time since Australia has had a new airline.“
Bonza will operate Melbourne flights to Bundaberg, Gladstone, Mackay, Mildura, Port Macquarie, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Tamworth and Toowoomba Wellcamp.
