Booking.com to cut jobs
Online travel giant Booking.com is set to downsize its workforce.
Parent Booking Holdings announced in a SEC filing it intends to cut jobs at Booking.com.
It hasn’t disclosed how many jobs but said it wouldn’t extend job cuts to its other travel brands.
Booking Holdings brand portfolio includes Agoda, Priceline, and Kayak.
Booking Holdings has a workforce of over 20,000 with about one-quarter at Booking.com in Amsterdam.
“We will consult with works councils, employee representatives, and other relevant organizations and expect to provide further clarity on these organizational changes in due course,” it said.
Along with job cuts, it will ‘modernize processes and systems,’ to become more efficient.
