Borneo Eco Conference for Kuching
KUCHING – Five international speakers will feature at the 4th Borneo Eco Tourism Conference, to be held in Kuching from September 11-13.
They are:
Héctor Ceballos-Lascuráin, a Mexican environmentalist, architect, and ecotourism and cultural tourism expert.
Dr Ross Dowling, Foundation Professor of Tourism in the School of Marketing, Tourism & Leisure, Faculty of Business & Law, Edith Cowan University, Western Australia.
Mark Exeter, sites manager for Tourism Western Australia.
Costas Christ, contributing editor and columnist for National Geographic Adventure magazine.
Jill Henry, CEO of Sarawak Convention Bureau.
Albert Teo, co-convenor of the conference, said, “To ensure a high attendance and to maximise the value to the tourism players in Borneo states, at the request of Sarawak Tourism Board we are keeping the registration fees very reasonable to make it affordable for all.
“The conference is also highly subsidised by Sarawak Tourism Board.”
Early bird registrations before August 11 will enjoy a 50% discount.
There is a three-hour professional development workshop on day one to help participants with specific challenges.
