Brit dies after falling into hotel lift shaft
A young British holidaymaker has died after what seems to be a tragic accident at a Turkiye hotel.
Tyler Kerry, 20, from Basildon, Essex apparently fell into a lift shaft at a hotel he and his family were staying at in Antalya.
According to a family member he was found early in the morning.
Paramedics were called and attempted resuscitation but was later pronounced dead.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help towards funeral costs.
It has has already raised more than £4,500.
The body is expected to be flown home today, Tuesday.
The Foreign Office said: “We are assisting the family of a British man who has died in Turkiye.”
