Brit dies in Australia bridge jump
A British man has tragically died during a bridge jumping accident in Australia.
Joshua Christian Santos, 32 from Merseyside, apparently jumped from the Noosa Sound Bridge in Queensland.
It is thought he slipped while jumping and hit his head on the bridge before falling.
His body was found several hours later.
The bridge has become something of an attraction, and has attracted thrill seekers jumping.
Authorities recently urged people not to jump due to construction work taking place under the bridge.
The UK foreign said it was providing consulate support to the man’s family.
“We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Australia and are in contact with the local authorities,” it said.
A report is being prepared for the coroner’s office.
