BA flight attendants fired for mocking Asian passengers
Two British Airways flight attendants have been fired for a social media post that went viral for the wrong reasons.
Holly Walton and Lauren Bray were dismissed following a backlash.
They were seen mocking Asians in the Instagram story post that dates back to 2022.
A TikTok user then reposted it and has chalked up more than one million views.
In the post Walton is seen making what appears to be a racist gesture.
The post was made while the two flight attendants were on a layover in the Caribbean.
According to co-workers, they were mocking a Chinese family who were on the previous flight.
After seeing the TikTok post, other work colleagues informed management.
“All forms of racism are completely unacceptable. These two individuals are no longer employed by us,” an airline spokesperson said.
The two crew members had been employed by BA for a combined 16 years.
Bray is reportedly planning to appeal her dismissal.
