British Airways adds more holiday airport lounges
British Airways is to give its Club Europe and eligible cardholders access to third-party owned airport lounges in Europe as part of a multi-million-pound investment.
The lounges will be available in holiday hotspots Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Rhodes in Greece, in Paphos, Cyprus, Dalaman in Turkey, Split in Croatia, Olbia in Sardinia and Palermo in Sicily this summer.
Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ director of brand and customer experience, said: "We know how important it is to our customers to have access to a lounge before they fly. We’ve expanded our partnerships so whether travelling for business or pleasure, more of our customers can now enjoy a calm lounge, wifi and complimentary food and drink when they fly with us this summer."
British Airways has recently completed the renovation of its First and Club lounges in New York’s JFK Terminal 7, and improvements to the customer experience at check-in are currently underway.
Further investment is planned with new British Airways lounges in San Francisco, Geneva and Johannesburg set to open this year.
The third-party lounge openings come as British Airways is investing £6.5 billion to improve its customer experience over the next five years, including new aircraft, new cabins, new catering, new lounges, wifi, and new routes.
