British Airways appoints Greater China EVP
British Airways has named Noella Ferns as new executive vice president for Greater China, effective from 1 January 2018.
Ferns’ role is to represent British Airways, sister airline Iberia Airlines and parent company International Airlines Group in Greater China, based in Beijing.
Ferns has 20 years’ experience at BA in senior management in Asia Pacific and is currently regional general manager – Greater China and Philippines, leading the sales teams in Hong Kong, Philippines and Taiwan.
"This appointment reflects the importance of this market for British Airways and marks the airline’s continuous investment in the region. Ferns has done a stellar job generating business and driving sales with her team in one of British Airways’ longest serving markets – Hong Kong," said Stephen Humphreys, BA’s head of global sales.
She also previously served as BA’s airport manager in Sydney for four years.
"British Airways has created a lot of success stories since it first operated in mainland China more than 35 years ago. I am delighted to be joining the team in mainland China to keep the momentum going, to be serving our customers and to create more success for the airline for years to come," Ferns said.
