British Airways cuts World Traveller prices
British Airways has announced that it is reducing the price of World Traveller and World Traveller Plus tickets for flights from Sydney and Melbourne to the United Kingdom for a limited period only.
BA Regional General Manager Roger Birr said, “The release of these tickets coincides with the arrival of the northern summer, offering leisure travel to the United Kingdom at very special prices.”
The special ticket prices are (inclusive of correct surcharges, fees and taxes as at 13 Apr 2007):
World Traveller from Sydney $2095 and Melbourne $2185
World Traveller Plus from Sydney $3695 and Melbourne $3785.
World Traveller Plus is British Airways’ premier economy cabin, with the separate cabin offers customers wider more comfortable seats with more legroom.
The applicable travel periods are 1 to 27 May, but travellers must book their travel by 30 April 2007.
Mr Burr added, “This pricing makes a short trip to the UK very tempting and its a great opportunity for leisure travellers to enjoy the benefits of a premium airline.”
“We encourage travellers to book quickly, as we expect these seats to go fast,” adding, “The northern hemisphere summer is a popular time to visit Britain, when the countryside is at its best, and when many events are run outside, including theatre and concerts.”
“As a full-service airline, British Airways provides leisure passengers a range of in-flight benefits including entertainment, meals and activities packs for children and British Airways was voted Airline of the Year 2006 in the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards.”
