British boy drowns in hotel pool
A four-year-old British boy has drowned in a pool in the Costa Blanca resort of Torrevieja.
The boy was dead by the time emergency services arrived at the holiday complex on Wednesday evening, according to a report in the Guardian.
It is thought the boy had only just arrived in the southeast of Spain with his parents for a late Easter holiday.
The Foreign Office said: "Following the death of a British national in Spain, we are providing support to their family. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."
