British couple killed on wedding day in Spain
A British couple have reportedly been killed in a helicopter crash – only a few hours after they were married in Spain. According to the BBC News website, the couple, who have not yet been named, died when the helicopter crashed near Malaga. The pilot was also killed in the accident. The BBC, quoting the Spanish El Mundo website, states that the couple had been taking part in a sightseeing tour and that their friends and family were waiting in the town of Mijas for their return. Instead, the website reports, the guests were told the news with “great sorrow and incredulity”. A foreign office spokesman is quoted as saying: “We can confirm the death of two British nationals in Spain. British officials are in touch with the next of kin.” Report by Tim Gillett, News From Abroad Ltd
