British woman in Algarve acid attack
A British woman is in a serious condition in hospital after she was doused with more than two litres of acid in an Algarve holiday resort.
The 29-year-old suffered burns to more than 30% of her body, according to the London Evening Standard.
She was found screaming on the street in Alvor, near Portimao in the Algarve on Saturday night and taken to hospital in Lisbon.
Police are believed to be trying to local an ex-boyfriend of the victim.
It is not known if the victim lived in Portugal or was on holiday in the Algarve.
