Brittany Ferries extends Cherbourg-Poole route to help stranded passengers
Brittany Ferries has suspended services until at least next Tuesday as talks break down between management and unions representing French workers.
Talks have been held since the weekend but have so far failed to resolve the matter.
But in order to help some passengers, the ferry company has extended its Poole-Cherbourg service until Friday October 5.
The seasonal service is operated on Brittany Ferries’ behalf by Condor Ferries and had been due to come to an end on Sunday September 30.
At present, it is not taking new bookings on this service but is using it purely to help pasengers with existing bookings.
They cannot be booked online so passengers are advised to contact the Reservations Team on 0870 333 1101.
Passengers who hold Brittany Ferries tickets are also being advised to travel on the Dover-Calais route with P&O Ferries and MyFerryLink. Tickets will be accepted by either company, without having to make a reservation.
