Brittany Ferries resumes high-speed Cherbourg service
Brittany Ferries’ 2014 high speed sailings from Portsmouth to Cherbourg resume this week, with a new reserved lounge.
The daily service, which takes three hours, will run until September 9
Additionally, from May 22 until September 7 the craft will offer weekend sailings to Le Havre, taking 3 hours 45 minutes.
Normandie Express has operated these high-speed sailings from Portsmouth since 2005.
This year, passengers can pay a small supplement for the new reserved lounge, which offers leather reclining seat with more space and complimentary newspapers and magazines.
Normandie Express also has a bar, two caf-©s and a boutique and free wi-fi.
Brittany Ferries expects demand for crossings to Normandy in 2014 to be high, with the region commemorating the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
