Bumper Christmas and New Year at Sheraton and Westin Resorts Fiji
Steve Molnar, Director of Sales & Marketing for Sheraton Fiji Resort, Sheraton Denarau Villas, Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa said this morning that it had been a bumper holiday season at their properties, with the Sheraton & Westin Resorts Denarau Island seeing a return to next to usual holiday guests enjoying the full range of exciting events and facilities on offer.
He said, “New Years Day saw all three resorts running at near full capacity, a record 450 guests booked into the Sheraton Fiji Resort Poolside party and up to 1000 guests present to see the amazing fireworks display and dance in the New Year”.
“Looking forward though, while business looks good until mid January things still look a little slow from mid January following the end of the school holidays but we expect things to pick up with the great offers in market and travel warnings beginning to ease.”
He added, “It is too early to predict into March and April, but I am hopeful that with the travel restrictions easing, business would revert to normal, with possibly some pent up demand and deferred bookings for Fiji also boosting business.”

He also said, “Tourism and transport to and from Denarau Island is running as usuals but the dropping of the travel advisories is most welcomed and we look forward to the results of the media campaigns in Australia and New Zealand and also to continuing to welcome Australians and New Zealanders to Fiji for a fabulous holiday.”
