Business Development Manager based in Hong Kong.

Permanent.

This client is the leading tour operator in Asia and are known for their Regional Inbound Land Operations and for their Wholesale Outbound Travel Products.

Their Corporate philosophy is to provide Good, Convenient and Reliable Services to their travel partners and also firmly believe the importance of establishing Relationships of Trust in all their business endeavors.

They have offices located in the countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Vietnam and the group is also currently handling over an average of 25,000 passengers per month from all over the world into this region.

They are the provider of travel information and transaction processing worldwide, who takes on a truly unique approach to the travel business by understanding and utilizing technology as a means to an end.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be looking after the daily operation of the Hong Kong office and is required to assist with developing new businesses within Greater China, Macau and Taiwan.

To qualify, he/she must have or quickly gain a thorough understanding of the travel distribution business for Inbound & Outbound. 

Relationships are paramount.  He/she must identify prospects, build the ongoing relationship, propose solutions and close the deal all require the ability to deal at senior management level.  To succeed, the position requires constant interaction and good rapport with their clients. 

Requirement:

** University graduate / Tertiary Education;

** 5-8 years management experience in the Travel Industry, either in Wholesaler, Inbound / Outbound Operator with extensive contacts within travel industry;

** Experience in travel technology industries will be an advantage;

** Strong sales and marketing experience;

** Strong leadership, aggressive, outgoing personality with positive attitude;

** Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;

** Must be able to interact with all levels of people effectively;

** Must be a good team player to interact with other departments;

** Good analytical, problem solving skills and logical thinking; and 

** Fluent spoken and written in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
