Business travel to cost lots more

Monday, 28 Sep, 2005 0

Business costs will increase 12% next year, predicted Runzheimer International.

The consulting firm said fuel prices will impact all sectors as airlines raise fares and other travel costs go up.

Fuel costs will also drive up rental car prices.

Runzheimer predicted travel managers will be taking a closer look at travel polices to cope with the higher costs.

Said Phyllis Schumann, travel management consultant:

“Travel managers are realizing that in order for guidelines or caps for individual components to be effective, they must be geographically specific.”

Other reports also say business costs will be higher next year.
