CAA to reveal number hit by long-haul specialist failure
The CAA is expected to reveal later today the number of people hit by the collapse of ATOL-holder A&M Travel, which ceased trading just before Christmas.
The business based in Edmonton in London was founded in 1993 and specialised in holidays to Africa, the Middle East, India, the Caribbean and Mauritius.
The CAA announced on December 21 that it had ceased trading.
The company, which traded as A & M Travel and under the website amholidays.co.uk, was a member of ABTA and licensed by IATA to sell flights.
It’s most recent accounts filed with Companies House show that on June 30, 2014, it had net assets of £81,577. It had one director, Manoj Kumar Singh, who joined in 2012, and a company secretary, Sarah Jane Singh, who was appointed in March 2014.
