Cambodia looks to Arabian agreements
PHNOM PENH – Prime Minister Hun Sen has signed three bilateral agreements with Kuwait that are expected to boost tourism and investment between Cambodia and Kuwait.
The agreements include one to initiate direct flights.
Cambodia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Qatar Airways last year for a possible direct flight from Doha to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap.
Emirates is also being encouraged to connect its hub in Dubai to a Cambodian city this year.
Cambodia is hoping to revive its national airline which it has been without since Royal Air Cambodge folded in 2001.
Indonesian investors are reported to be working with the Cambodian government to set up a new national airline.
