Caribbean Week to brighten up NYC in June
The Caribbean Tourism Organization has announced the line-up of events for the 2014 Caribbean Week in New York.
The CTO, the tourism development agency representing over 30 countries and territories in the region will be showcasing Caribbean culture, lifestyle and tourism trends to New Yorkers from June 1-8.
Organized by CTO’s New York office, events planned include consumer and travel media presentations, workshops, a Cultural Fair and Vacation Mart.
This year there will be a focus on sustainable tourism projects and the latest marketing trends in the industry.
The Caribbean Romance Pavilion is being expanded this year, highlighting a growing demand for Caribbean weddings and honeymoons.
In addition, food and drink will be offered by celebrity chefs from the English, French, Dutch and Spanish Caribbean, exhibitions of fashion and art and a marketing conference with awards ceremony.
The CTO is headquartered in Barbados with overseas marketing offices in New York and London.
