Carlson on track to becoming world’s largest cruise seller

Sunday, 19 Oct, 2005 0

Carlson Leisure Group acquired two Florida-based companies, All Aboard Travel and SinglesCruise.com.

The companies were acquired in line with Carlson’s strategy to “become one of the largest retailers of cruise vacations in the US,” says Richard Batt, president and CEO.

All Aboard Travel will continue to operate from its headquarters in Fort Myers and Osprey. The company last year had gross sales of nearly $30 million. All Aboard focuses primarily on the creation of unique group cruise packages.

SinglesCruise.com based in Marco Island is the largest singles cruise operator in the US. It was started in 1991 to appeal to the rapidly growing singles market.
