Carnival shares lead the way
There were few changes of any consequence for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s main equity indices both enjoyed a good day. The FTSE 100 index added 38.3 points to end the day at 4979.8, while the FTSE 250 had a similar session and gained 25.5 points to finish at 7320.9 – a new record high, according to The Guardian. The biggest move of the day came at Carnival, which added 57p to close at 3217p.
