Carnival supporting emergency efforts in Vanuatu
Following the powerful earthquake in Vanuatu, Carnival Corp is donating $60,000 to first responder, ProMedical Vanuatu.
The ProMedical team worked around the clock for the first 48 hours after tragedy struck in Port Vila, searching for survivors and helping provide critical medical care
Carnival Corporation has been a supporter of the non-government emergency response organisation for several years, through P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Partnerships.
This guest-donation fund supports charities and organisations in destinations the cruise line visits across the Pacific.
The donation is made possible thanks to all Carnival Corp cruise brands operating in the region – Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard and P&O Cruises Australia as well as the generosity of P&O guests.
The donation will help ensure ProMedical has the resources they need to undertake their work.
Carnival has also offered ships for practical, physical assistance if needed.
Carnival says it hopes to resume visits to Port Vila as soon as it is ready to welcome cruise guests back.
