Cathay Pacific makes new Airbus order
Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific inked a deal to buy 32 new Airbus jets.
The airline will buy 32 A321neo and A320neo aircraft, with delivery expected by 2029.
The new aircraft will be inducted in the Cathay Pacific and HK Express fleets
“Cathay Group continues to invest in expanding and modernising its fleet, and growing flight connectivity at the Hong Kong hub,” the airline said.
It takes the Group’s new aircraft deliveries to more than 70.
The new Airbus jets will mostly fly on routes to the Chinese Mainland and across Asia.
Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam added: “These aircraft have been serving Cathay Pacific well, allowing us to strengthen the expansion of our Chinese Mainland and regional network.”
