Cathay Pacific to spread wings to Washington DC
Hong Kong’s flag carrier Cathay Pacific is set to launch its longest nonstop flight next year to Washington DC.
The 13,000km journey to Dulles from Hong Kong will be operated by new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft and will shave off about two hours on current travel time between the two cities.
The route begins on Sept ember 16, 2018 and will operate four times a week.
The longest current flight out of Hong Kong is American Airlines’ 15-hour nonstop service to Dallas.
Cathay also flies to Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Newark, Los Angeles and New York-JFK.
