CDC eases cruise travel advisory
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lowered its travel advisory for cruise ship travel, as big ships prep to resume their operations in the coming weeks. The CDC downgraded the alert from the highest risk Level 4, to Level 3.
That means it deems cruise shops as a ‘high’ risk, down from a ‘very high’ risk. The Level 3 adivses people to be vaccinated before travel ‘while unvaccinated travelers should avoid cruises.
"Since the virus spreads more easily between people in close quarters aboard ships, the chance of getting Covid-19 on cruise ships is high," the CDC says.
