Cebu Pacific to fly daily to Tokyo Narita
Philippines budget carrier is boosting its service to Tokyo to a daily flight later this year.
It currently serves Tokyo Narita four times a week and will go daily starting on December 1, 2018.
Aside from the Cebu-Narita route, the airline also flies to Tokyo from Manila 14 times a week.
The airline also tweaked schedules offering easier onward connections via Cebu to Narita from Bacolod, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.
"Japan is a popular destination among Filipino vacationers. We are giving passengers who hail from the Visayas and Mindanao a more practical and viable option to reach Japan with daily flights from Cebu," said Alexander Lao, president and CEO of Cebgo.
The airline also flies out of Manila to Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya.
"More flight options mean greater flexibility for our customers and easier transfers from Narita to Cebu. Japanese students, expatriates and tourists can now enjoy more of the attractions the Philippines has to offer through easy connections," Lao said.
Japan is a growing market for inbound tourism to the Philippines.
Nearly 370,000 travellers visited the country from January to July 2018.
