Celebrate Christmas and New Year at The Nam Hai in Vietnam’s China Beach

Theres’ no better way to ring in the New Year than at Vietnam’s most exclusive oceanfront resort, The Nam Hai.

The Nam Hai, managed by GHM, one of the world’s leading creators and operators of award-winning, distinctive luxury hotels and resorts, throughout Asia and the USA is celebrating Christmas and New Year in decadent style with gala dinners of gastronomic cuisine and premium wines.
 
The 5-star spa resort starts a season of unsurpassed festive opulence from Christmas Eve, celebrated with mulled wine, stollen and mince pies with carols performed by The Da Nang Church Choir in The Bar and a surprise appearance by Santa to delight youngsters.
 
Christmas specials are served in The Restaurant, with the resident pianist performing live and a gala Vietnamese buffet is served at The Beach Restaurant.
 
Christmas Day features an exquisite festive dinner paired with prestige wines. An appetizer of river king prawn tartare with caviar introduces the feast, matched with Prosecco Special Cuvee Zonin. Baby red mullet or Parma ham and grilled peach salad follows, with St. Hallett Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2007.
 
Main course choices are spice roasted organic goose or venison loin on braised root vegetables, with Terrazas, Alto Malbec 2006. Dessert is traditional Christmas pudding with Margan Botrytis Semillon 2006 or a selection of fine European cheeses served with Noval Tawny Port.
 
Alternatively, a Christmas gala buffet is served at the Beach Restaurant, with free flowing house wine. New Year’s Eve starts in The Open Lounge, with a cocktail party hosted by The Nam Hai, followed by a gala dinner priced paired with fine wines.
 
The menu is introduced with Tasmanian Oysters ‘Martini’ with champagne vinegar and caviar, matched with Taittinger,Brut Réserve NV. Next is seared sea scallop salad or Angus beef tartare with Green Point, Chardonnay 2005.
 
Main course is roasted lobster tail with pan-fried duck foie gras, or veal tenderloin, paired with Oyster Bay Marlborough Pinot Noir 2006. Dessert is Frangelico & Apricot Bombe Alaska with Varlhona white chocolate crème brulee and sugar roasted plums, with Margan Botrytis Semillon 2006, or Blue Stilton & Pont Leveque with toasted artisan breads, apple calvados jelly, grapes & date compote, served with Noval Tawny Port.
 
The resident pianist will perform guest’s favourite songs throughout the evening along with a saxophonist. The Beach Restaurant alternatively features a gala buffet with a bottle of wine of guest’s choice from the hotel’s special selection.
 
ARB Band will entertain the guests with their live music and dancing through the night from late hours of 2008 until early hours of 2009.
 
Amid the unique culture of Central Vietnam, The Nam Hai is in landscaped tropical gardens overlooking the South China Sea, along a kilometre of famous China Beach, voted by Forbes magazine as one of the world’s ten most beautiful beaches.
