Celebrate Sibelius legacy!

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the passing of world renowned Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, Scandinavian retail specialist Bentours is pleased to announce the launch of a five-day ‘Sibelius Celebration Tour’.

A musical journey throughout the scenic Finland, travellers will have the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Sibelius, exploring key places of cultural importance to the artist including Helsinki and Lahti, as well as a visit to the majestic city of St Petersburg. 

Kicking off in Sibelius’ home city of Helsinki, the five day tour offers Australians the chance to immerse themselves in every aspect of Finnish lifestyle, history and culture.

The tour continues through scenic Lahti to experience the majesty of the region’s lakes and artworks. Travellers will also be able to experience the magic of Sibelius’ music with a memorable sunset concert preformed by the Sibelius Festival Symphony conducted by the renowned Osmo Vänskä. The tour also includes a visit to Sibelius old home of ‘Ainola’, named after his wife, which is situated alongside Lake Tuusula.

The tour’s last destination will be St Petersburg, Russia, heralding a unique opportunity to soak up the art and culture of one of Europe’s most historic cities, including a visit to the Hermitage museum and a daytrip to The Grand Palace in Peterhof.
