Celebrity Equinox begins Port Canaveral season
Celebrity Equinox has arrived at Port Canaveral, making history as the first Celebrity Cruises ship to homeport there.
The 2,850-passenger Celebrity Equinox becomes Port Canaveral’s 15th vessel to call the world’s second busiest cruise port home.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Celebrity Cruises as our newest cruise partner,” said Port Canaveral CEO Captain John Murray.
“The addition of this ship continues to expand the number of options to sail from our Port. We are proud of our growth and the collective success.”
Celebrity Equinox will sail from Port Canaveral’s Cruise Terminal 1, offering week-long Caribbean cruises.
The ship will sail to destinations including The Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Mexico, San Juan and St. Maarten.
Celebrity Equinox is the second in the line’s Solstice Series ships.
It houses 20 food and beverage options, panoramic views at the Sky Observation Lounge and half an acre of real grass at The Lawn Club.
