Celebrity unveils name of third ‘celestial’ ship

Friday, 10 Jan, 2007 0

Celebrity Cruises has revealed that ‘Celebrity Eclipse’ will be the name of the third ‘celestial’ ship in its Solstice-class fleet.

The ship will make its maiden voyage in 2010, following sister ships Celebrity Solstice in 2008 and Celebrity Equinox in 2009.

Like its sister ships, Celebrity Eclipse will have larger standard staterooms, 90% them outside and 85% with verandas.

The 2,850-guest ships will measure 1,033 feet in length and 121 feet in width

The announcement of Celebrity Eclipse comes a month after the news of Celebrity Quest, the third ship in the line’s ‘Celebrity Expeditions’ class of smaller ships designed for tailored-to-market products in exotic locations.
