Celestyal cancels all April cruises
Small ship line Celestyal has been forced to cancel all remaining voyages in April.
Its ships are still in the Middle East having been stuck for weeks in the Arabian Guld waiting on clearance to reposition to Europe.
It affects all sailings on Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey.
The cruise line has been progressively cancelling sailings at it awaits authority to sail from the region.
Dozens of short cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean and elsewhere over several weeks have now been scrapped since early March.
Cruise guests can request a full refund or a future cruise credit.
Celestial is hopeful to restart operations in May, starting with the three-night Iconic Greek Islands May 1 departure.
“Our priority remains the safety and confidence of our guests, crew and partners,” said Celestyal Chief Commercial Officer Lee Haslett.
It continues monitoring the changing situation and awaits clearance from authorities to reposition its ships.
