Cendant UK tour operating boss quits
Cendant’s UK Vacation Rental Group managing director Martin Leppard is standing down from the company.
He is to leave at the end of November to return to the private equity investment sector.
VRG operations director Geoff Cowley will assume responsibility for the firm’s cottage, villa, boating and apartment brands in the position of managing director, Cendant VRG.
Commercial director David Stamp will take charge of the camping division, comprising Canvas Holidays and French Life Camping, as director of camping.
Leppard has been with Cendant VRG since its formation in 2002, after selling tour operator French Life’s parent company International Life Leisure business to Cendant.
He has led the integration of various companies acquired by VRG, including Holiday Cottages Group, Welcome Cottages, Individual Travellers Company, Canvas Holidays, and International Life Leisure.
Leppard said: “Now that the integration of the various businesses is complete, it is an appropriate time for me to leave to seek new private equity investment opportunities. VRG is now exceedingly well positioned to continue its growth, with a very strong management team in place”.
