CEO of Orbitz to keynote ResExpo
Mitch Truwit, newly appointed chief executive officer and president of Orbitz and CheapTickets, will deliver the keynote address on March 3 at ResExpo.
The event on March 1-3 is at Atlanta’s Omni CNN Center in the US.
Said Vicky Singer, president of Travel Technology Source, LLC, co-owner and co-producer of ResExpo: “From his current post running Orbitz and CheapTickets, and as the former executive vice president and COO of Priceline.com, Mr Truwit has a rich and unique background for offering valuable insight on the industry.”
The theme of ResExpo is “Big Ideas in Travel Distribution – From Revolution to Execution.”
The event will provide an in-depth view of major transformations in travel distribution, including the emergence of alternate distribution systems, new technologies and business models, according to Ms Singer.
Mr Truwit is among several industry leaders who will speak at the conference. Other major industry speakers will include Mike Hulley, president of EDS Transportation Global Industry Solutions, and Terry Jones, founder of Travelocity.
